Below you’ll find a list of the most frequently asked questions to do with Wedding Photography but if you have any other questions please feel free to get in touch via the contact page or pop your details in below and i’ll give you a call back.
Please head over to the Wedding Photography Prices page for information on my pricing.
I’ll take hundreds….no seriously, hundreds on the day.
This will then be cropped down to around 700 (on average, often more) which will each then be hand-edited to make sure they are perfect for you.
I take a modern, candid style approach to photographing your wedding, blending into the background as much as possible.
This allows me to capture all the natural smiles, emotional tears, and overactive kids running around as it all happens on the day rather than staging some forced cheesy grins, this gives you a much better set of real photographs from your wedding day.
How long do you need me?
I’m always open to staying past the first dance (contact me for a quote) but I tend to find guests and the bride & groom have had enough photographs after First Dance or thereabouts and so generally I only stay until then.
My turnaround time is 6 weeks to allow me time to hand-edit each individual image before preparing your USB of images and launching your Online Gallery.
Yes, absolutely!
I bring along flyers to your wedding with a link and password so that your guests can view and purchase prints online.
Yes, I encourage you to meet me before booking! It’s a great way for us to get to know each other and go through your specific needs for your wedding, also it’s a great excuse for a cuppa and a nice biscuit, drop me a message and I can setup a meeting at my shop in Kinver.
There are no travel costs within 15 miles of Kinver (DY7 6HB), outside this I may require costs towards travel and distances in excess of 1 hour from Kinver may require expenses for a hotel. Please contact me for a custom quote.
When your Online Gallery is live I ask that you select your favourite images on there which I can then access to put together a proof for you. I then invite you both to my shop in Kinver to go through the proof, adding, moving and removing images as you want to create your perfect album which is then sent to print and ready for you within 4 weeks.
No, not really. Don’t worry, I hate having my picture taken and I know it can be a real worry on the day. I’ll get you into the right sort of pose with a few instructions but primarily it will be a case of looking at each other and talking about the day, trust me, when you talk about it on the day the natural smiles and best pictures will happen organically.
Yes, I carry full Public Liability and Employers Liability Insurance.
I like to encourage you to put together just a small list of traditional group photographs that you’d like on your big day. This makes sure that the really special people (bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents, siblings etc) are together in your wedding photographs.
Aside from these, I prefer to work at a distance and capture all the fun of the wedding as it happens – it makes for the best pictures!
Absolutely! I’ll pack my suncream and sandals!
I love to travel and i’m always happy to photograph an international wedding but I do require travel and accommodation expenses to be covered (I keep this to a minimum – don’t worry i’m not looking at a 5* all-inclusive!)
Drop me a message via the contact page so that we can discuss your wedding in more detail.
As soon as I’m back from your big day I fire up the laptop and back up every image to it. I also back them up to an external hard drive as well as to a secure cloud backup through iDrive to make sure that your images are safe and secure.
I then spend up to 6 weeks going through each image, checking and editing every single one by hand before they are sent out to you. During and after this time I may use a few images for a Blog post, as well as one or two posted on my Social Media channels for future brides and grooms to see examples of my most recent work – as well as some sneaky peeks for you. You are welcome to opt out of this if you wish.
I will keep your wedding photographs for a minimum of 1 year but encourage you to back your photographs up to another USB or Cloud storage of your own as soon after receiving them as possible for safety and security.
