Alex and Will got married on the 27th August at the lovely St Peter’s Church in the village of Kinver.
The day began perfectly with the sun shining and Alex looking beautiful and Will looking handsome. I get the feeling the bridesmaids were a little nervous as they were practicing their walk up the aisle right up until the moment came to go into the church, bless them.
After the happy couple tied the knot and officially became Mr and Mrs we headed outside for some informal shots of guests congratulating the bride and groom before sneaking Alex and Will away for some photographs of just the two of them. St Peter’s Church is also known as the church on the hill and as such it has a fantastic view overlooking Kinver village which I always like to make apart of the wedding photographs when possible. During these shots the sky turned a little grey but we carried on finally finishing with a shot of the bride and groom by the car they were driving to the reception.
At this point the heavens opened and it turned into what can only be described as torrential or as my Dad would say Biblical rain. The reception was a giant teepee set up in a friend’s field just 5 minutes up the road from the church and you may be wondering why there are no wedding photographs with guests by the teepee, well that’s because it rained continually for the 3 more hours we were there, right up to the food and into the night.
Did the happy couple mind? Not at all, they took it in their stride and had a fantastic day in spite of the weather.
Thank you to Alex and Will for making me a part of your special day and letting me capture it for you. I wish you lifetime of happiness together.
