Every wedding has its own unique story, and the wedding of Bethany and Tony was no exception. Held at Oakham Evangelical Church in Oldbury, followed by a lively reception at The Abbey Hotel in Redditch, their wedding day was a beautiful blend of love, emotion, and unexpected surprises. As the wedding photographer privileged to capture these moments, I was joined by the talented second shooter, Jean Luc, to document this special day.

The day began with excitement and anticipation as I documented Bethany’s bridal preparations, hair, make-up, and all the special details that make a wedding truly unique. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and the warmth of her closest friends, who were there to share in her joy. As I clicked away, I couldn’t help but notice the love that radiated between Bethany and Tony even before they said their “I do’s” having previously photographed their engagement photo shoot at Kinver Edge.

Meanwhile, Jean Luc took charge of capturing the groom’s preparations at The Abbey Hotel. Tony and his groomsmen were in high spirits (figuratively and literally when they shared a toast).. Having a second shooter ensured that every aspect of the day was beautifully documented and allowed an extra angle which is especially useful during the ceremony where often movement is restricted or limited by the vicar.

Following the ceremony, the celebration continued at The Abbey Hotel. The reception was an explosion of joy, with guests laughing, dancing, and toasting to the newlyweds’ happiness. The hotel’s natural surroundings created the perfect backdrop for the festivities and photographs.

The speeches delivered during the reception were heartfelt and memorable. Their speeches not only brought tears of joy but also highlighted the deep love and support that surrounded the newlyweds.

As the day continued, an unexpected twist occurred that added a touch of humor to the celebration. Tony’s trousers split after the ceremony, much to the amusement of everyone present. The best man couldn’t resist a cheeky remark, saying he hoped the marriage would last longer than Tony’s trousers. Laughter filled the room, reminding us all that even in the most unexpected moments, love shines through.

Bethany and Tony’s wedding was a day filled with love, laughter, and surprises, perfectly encapsulating the essence of their relationship. As the photographer, I was fortunate to capture the genuine moments that made their day extraordinary. Jean Luc’s expertise as a second shooter ensured that no important detail went unnoticed.
