Sara and Steve tied the knot at Himley Hall, a beautiful country house surrounded by acres of rolling grounds and woodland. The grand building is almost three hundred years old, framed by a row of stunning stone pillars, and one of my favourite places to capture couples on their wedding day.
Despite the chill of November in the air, the weather was on our side which made it possible to capture some fantastic outdoor shots, taking full advantage of the location. Inside, the staff had gone all out to decorate and make the place match the couple’s elegant, botanical theme.
During the wedding breakfast, the guests were treated to a surprise performance by singing waiters, who stole the show with their lively act. Their unexpected performance brought a lot of fun and energy to the day, providing a room full of smiles!
On a personal note, one of my favourite moments from this day was one of the most truly British events I have ever witnessed at a wedding. While I took Sara and Steve around to capture their couples photos, we were met by a holidaying couple who had set up their camping chairs and picnic in the garden of the halls. We couldn’t help but invite them into one of the pictures to give a great juxtaposition of the formal and relaxed within one image.
Sarah and Steve shared a magical wedding day in a grand location; it was a pleasure to capture some truly magic moments and I hope to be back at Himley Hall again capturing more happy couples wedding days.
